Ankol powder – In Ayurveda the roots and the fruits are used for treatment of rheumatism, and hemorrhoid. In traditional system of medicine, it is used as laxative, astringent, pungent, purgative, alleviates spasms, anthelmintic, emetic, antiprotozoa, hypoglycemic. Meaning

Aṅkola alleviates Vāta-induced pain, reduces swelling, pacifies Kapha, and—especially when applied externally—resolves nodules and painful swellings.
