Gorakhmundi – is widely used in Ayurvedic system of medicine to treat vitiated conditions of epilepsy, mental illness, hemicrania, jaundice, hepatopathy, diabetes, leprosy, fever, pectoralgia, cough, gastropathy, hernia, hemorrhoids, helminthiasis, dyspepsia and skin diseases.

मुण्डिका तिक्तकषाया ज्वरघ्नी दीपनी स्मृता।

Meaning

Muṇḍikā (Gorakhmuṇḍī), bitter and astringent, alleviates fever, stimulates digestion, pacifies Kapha–Pitta, and confers rejuvenative benefits.
