Description

Behada fruits are used to protect the liver, it has laxative, astringent, anthelmintic and antipyretic properties and are used in Ayurveda against various disorders like hepatitis, bronchitis, asthma, dyspepsia, piles, diarrhoea, coughs, eye diseases.

Sanskrit Śloka

बिभीतकी कषायोष्णा कफपित्तनिवारिणी।
कासश्वासहराऽग्र्या कण्ठ्या स्वरविशुद्धिकृता॥

Meaning

Bibhitakī, predominantly astringent, alleviates Kapha and Pitta, is among the best remedies for cough and dyspnoea, and purifies the voice and throat.
