6. Scientific Interpretation Summary

Classical Ayurvedic descriptors Tikta–Kaṣāya Rasa, Laghu–Rūkṣa Guṇa, Uṣṇa Vīrya, and Aśmarī-bhedana–Mutrala Karma correlate strongly with isothiocyanate-mediated antilithiatic, flavonoid-driven diuretic, and polyphenol-based anti-inflammatory mechanisms in modern pharmacology. This validates Varuṇa as a gold-standard Ayurvedic urinary stone-breaking and diuretic herb.
