Sanskrit Śloka

शतावरी मधुरा शीताः स्निग्धा बल्या रसायनी।
स्तन्यजननी वृष्या वातपित्तहराऽग्र्या॥

Meaning

Śatāvarī is sweet, cooling, unctuous, strength-promoting and rejuvenative; it enhances lactation, acts as an aphrodisiac, and pacifies Vāta–Pitta.
