Sanskrit Śloka

शिग्रुः कटुतिक्तोष्णः शोथशूलविनाशनः।
आमवातहरो ज्ञेयो कफवातनिबर्हणः॥

Śigru, pungent–bitter and hot, destroys swelling and pain; it alleviates Āmavāta and pacifies Kapha–Vāta.
