Sanskrit Śloka

हरिद्रा कटुका तिक्ताऽ कुष्ठघ्नी कफपित्तनुत्।
प्रमेहकृमिनाशाय प्रयोज्या भिषजां मतम्॥

Meaning

Haridrā, pungent and bitter, destroys skin diseases, pacifies Kapha–Pitta, and is recommended for Prameha and parasitic disorders.
