Description

Vidanga is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat a variety of ailments, including relieving headache, rhinitis, haemorrhage, epilepsy digestive issues, skin problems, and respiratory infections and insomnia. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-microbial properties. the decoction of dried fruits is used for fever, for chest and skin disease. Paste is applied for skin infection.

Sanskrit Śloka

विडङ्गं कटुतीक्ष्णोष्णं कृमिघ्नं दीपनं परम्।
आमदोषहरं प्रोक्तं बालानां हितमुच्यते॥

Meaning

Viḍaṅga, pungent, sharp, and hot, is an excellent anthelmintic and digestive; it destroys Āma and is especially beneficial in children.
