Description

Trivrit Churna

Trivrit Churna (Operculina turpethum) is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal powder prepared from the root of Trivrit. It has been valued in Ayurveda for centuries and is commonly included in classical herbal formulations. The herb is traditionally appreciated for its role in Ayurvedic cleansing practices and for supporting overall digestive wellness as part of a balanced lifestyle.

In Ayurvedic literature, Trivrit is described as a Pradhāna Virecaka Dravya (traditionally valued purgative herb) and is widely used in classical formulations intended to maintain the balance of Pitta and Kapha doshas under the guidance of qualified Ayurvedic practitioners.

Trivrit possesses Tikta (bitter) and Katu (pungent) tastes with Uṣṇa Vīrya (warming potency). It is traditionally incorporated into Ayurvedic formulations that support digestive balance and overall well-being. Its historical use in Ayurveda should be understood as traditional knowledge and not as evidence of proven medical efficacy.
