Paarijat- is widely used as a decoction in the Ayurvedic, system of medicine for treatment of sciatica and arthritis, it is known as a great anti-pyretic. It cures various nauseous types of fever including malaria, dengue, and chikungunya fevers. Parijat leaf are very useful to ameliorate fever instantly. It helps to increase platelet count in dengue and chikungunya fever.

Sanskrit Śloka

पारिजातस्तिक्तकटुः ज्वरघ्नः पाचनः स्मृतः।
विषमज्वरनाशाय कफवातहरः परम्॥

Meaning

Pārijāta, bitter and pungent, alleviates fever—especially intermittent types—digests Āma, and pacifies Kapha–Vāta.
